The melting point of sand, which consists mainly of silicon dioxide or silica, is approximately 2930 degrees Fahrenheit. Its boiling point is 4046 F.

Just curious.
I know they need to outsource sand (from the sea) because the one they have on land is completely useless for building construction. (it’s smooth and polished by the winds)
