pretty fucking disgusting to think that I was alive with the generations of people who ended European Civilisation.

A story that I have never heard of in history - is the decision of a soldier, to put his country before his family.... I don't think many people can deal with that sacrifice. Soldiers really did give everything...

You know, there's one thing most people forget about or overlook, including "planners" / those deciding what's "best for us", with stats and shit, demographic stats, trends, etc.. All those theoretical models they base their reasonings on to make plans for the future

Reality isn't a "controlled environment", it's not a science lab or a computer

"everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face" is another way of putting it

...

For example, "you" assume that the sun won't blow up overnight, so you start with the premise that there's a tomorrow, and chances are 'you' are right, sun will be still there tomorrow

But what do you know? You know nothing, or barely anything when it comes to the sun and the entire universe surrounding it

So "your" entire prediction model, is based on "faith" to begin with, on belief, on a bet to put it simply

There's no "100% sure", there might be 99,999999999999999% but no 100%

And planners know it, but they don't take it into consideration, it's in the "imponderable" basket, because well, otherwise, you can't plan

...

You might think "yeah well, 0,00000000000000000000001% uncertainty, if that's our chances to escape what is otherwise a mathematical certainty, we're screwed"

And it's true, that's pretty low chances to say the least

...

But then I ask you: Imagine you work as an employee in any given boring deskjob, at the 100th or something floor in a skyscraper, for instance. What are your chances to take a boieng 767 in the face tomorrow morning during your usual coffee break near that shitty photocopier?

Pretty low isn't it? Something close to 0.00000000000000001% chances

Well http://viewzone2.com/911wtc.jpg

We both know that, despite the very low chances for that to happen, it did happen

...

So there's that

And then there are the stuffs you can't do shit about even when you know they're going to happen and when, such as yellowstone going boom

...

What I'm trying to say if anything, is that, we're dealing with people who play god, but aren't god, that's all

Shit happens, even to them

yeah I hear you.

also, the "laws" of physics = the "history" of physics
