Okay, what's the age of adulthood then? Is it 26 when you get dropped from your parents' healthcare plan? Is it 23-25 when your brain stops developing? Is it 21 when you can buy booze and smokes (in states that increased the age to 21). Is it 18 when you can vote or buy smokes? Is it 16 when you get a driver's license? Is it 30 when women hit the wall? Is it 25 when you can rent a car? Is it X when you can buy a weapon (for states that have those restrictions)?

For eons, adulthood started at puberty. Only recently have we decided that adulthood is an age arbitrarily picked and depending on the age, you aren't even legally an adult.

Their name may be lost to history, but I'm willing to bet every member here has someone in their family tree that was a "child" when they gave birth.
