They are scientists that have authority over such topics. Us plebs have no need to know their name even though they've made outlandish claims that should require further investigation. It is very much like the whistleblower's name, if we know the name of him (Eric Ciarmello or whatever the spelling is), the whole impeachment bullshit starts falling apart as responsible people will look at his past.
I think this is the new 97% of scientistsᵀᴹ number they are going to start using in a year or two after it has been forgotten about.
