And you may be right. It may be that regular people get their start in politics with noble ambitions, and that every single one is either corrupted, or they're promptly voted out. I can believe in the possibility of that.

I am certain there are decent people that want to get involved in politics. I even know a few. It's just that they tend to get weeded out by the big parties at the local level so they never obtain enough power to make much of a difference in the grand scheme.
