I really, really hope that Charlie made it to Heaven. That, despite his years of subservience to the jews, in his last months he was able to free himself from Satan's chosen people, free his soul.
He made allowances and excuses for some bad stuff, over the years. We all make mistakes. We all stumble. He may well have been trying to correct himself, and was killed for it.
I hope he truly loved God as much as he professed to. God is merciful, but He is also Just. Being Just, means that wickedness must be punished, no matter who or what it comes from.
Nick IS right in that regard. We can't be gungho on violence, as much as we'd love to be. Because that's playing into the devil's hands. We can defend ourselves, and those around us. But otherwise, life is suffering and that's our cross to bear.
We'll all get what's coming to us, one way or the other. We either suffer now, temporarily on Earth, and live on happily in Heaven with Jesus... or we live with temporary respite and indulgence here on Earth and suffer eternity in Hell.
And by God, I hope Charlie made it. I honestly hope so. Because he had all future chances at repentance taken from him.
