Not only does his example not mean the candidate is "speaking for YOU" but it's a lynchpin of how politics work. The "you" in that instance is the royal form, not the specific. You don't understand that, sad as fuck.

That isn't what he said tho. He said unless they were elected. He meant some random person speaking on behalf of whites as if all whites think the same. His statement had nothing to do with political representation.
