They are missing the point. It is NOT that they can't afford it, it is that they have to have a 40 or 50 year mortgage and then likely never realistically ever fully own the whole house. Criminally stupid people are buying $75k SUV and trucks that cost 25 -30 k ten years ago. Perpetual debt.

My buddy's 2006 Silverado is finally beyond the point of repair. He has a car but uses the truck for side jobs, but like he said it would be cheaper to quit the side jobs because they money they bring in wouldn't even pay for the truck payment. It's crazy when you think about it like that.

Maybe your buddy should sell both vehicles and buy a mini van.

My Dad traded his minvan in for a truck and regrets it because the minivan was lower and easier to get things into and out of. Also he liked that cargo was covered from rain with a "hard top". Dad swears that the minivan was better at hauling drywall, firewood, and kayaks.

I still haven't figured out if he's onto something or just nostalgic about our childhood van.

Gotta say I liked the chebby van I had for ten years. Not much good though if you need to haul sand or gravel or block, but having a trailer can take care of that. Have a truck now and it’s a pain in the ass in that tools and materials, or camping gear is susceptible to theft. I’d go back to a van now if I could afford it, they aren’t any cheaper than a truck. Talk’n full size though. Those old Astro vans were good work vans, had one of those for a few years too.

I can mention, but can you fit a sheet of plywood or drywall in one?

The reason you can't buy a 4-cyl, light, economical pickup truck that gets 40mpg is because "clean" government regulations demand they get 100 mpg for that "SIZE CLASS" or the manufacturer must pay a massive penalty ($20,000.00) for each vehicle sold.

Ford and GM therefore only make 8-cylinder beasts that are exempt from "SIZE CLASS" restrictions, which weigh 8 tons and get 20mpg, in order to save the planet.

What? A law with "unintended" consequences, never heard of such a thing.

Let's say you actually free your home from the wringing hands of the (((bank))), you still have the problem of the taxman.

[–] 2 pts

If you can't qualify for a home until you're 30, then you have to take out a 40-50 year mortgage...that puts your (best case scenario) retirement age at 70-80 years old.

By that age it's physically difficult for you to maintain the property, so you'll probably have to sell/downsize before then anyways.

Nice how they set up a life of debt servitude for us.

Perpetual debt.

Indeed. One only has to look at the publicly stated function of the Federal Reserve to realize that we are hopelessly in debt, and cannot cover it.

Very simple

  • The Federal Reserve Issues ALL MONEY.
  • They issue that money AT INTEREST.
  • Therefore, ALL MONEY is issued AT INTEREST.
  • The Federal Reserve is demanding more money be paid back than all the money in existence.

This is why the founding fathers of the united states fought a war over King George III's Currency Act (analogous to the US Federal Reserve Act of 1913). They knew it was perpetual, inescapable, debt slavery.

I hear entitlement. I see peeople with money for nails, lashes, and make up. I see women crying their family will be kicked out of McMansions, but how many would live in a trailer in the woods? I watched a 29 year old KID buy land with vash and an old beat up trailer, from a tax return, and he now owns his own home. Down grade your outrageous expectations and move to a place where it's not illegal to do some of your own work. Notice ALL in the cities. I hope they buy land in another country and learn like McAffey did.

I have a 3bd home on over 10 acres in buttfuck Appalachia, cost me 60k.

[–] 0 pt

Nails and lashes don't cost as much as you think they do.

I do agree that they're entitled. They see the world boomers enjoyed and expect the same. It's time for all of us to get over the small blip in the economy when things were moving smoothly. It's time for all of us to accept the struggle of normal economic pressures.

We also need to pressure our representatives to encourage affordable housing. In my area an outdated 2 bedroom apartment (50 year old kitchen, peeling wood paneling, baseboard heaters painted shut, mouse infestation) goes for more than half the average salary (not including utilities and parking fees). Even the cheapest one bedroom is more than 1/3 rd the average salary. This is out of hand!

My daughter does the nails and lashes. She pays $100 a month for new lashes and nail refills, but she had hers done for her so it might be cheaper if you do it on your own. Make up costs her another $30 to $50 a month if you include cleaning and face cream and all that. I know $150 a month ain't shit in this economy, but really it does add up. (My daughter lives with me)

When I was 20, not that damn long ago, we paid $180 a week to live at our shit apartment in the ghetto. It was so ghetto that we had to pay weeklu just so the slum lord could kick people out easier. This is back when minimum wage netted you less than $300 a week take home. My husband worked two jobs and I worked one to get the fuck out of hell. We never saw each other. Probably why we ended up divorced. However, we both ended up in better places after because we had built up equity that we could split and move on to better housing.

Why does everyone run to Daddy government. How about you all work together, rent a house together, save your cash by having 5-10 room mates like I did before I got married, and buy a house after a year or thrr living like that? Why do you kids always need to be baby sat by the fucking government. GROW UP and find solutions to your problems. What is stopping you form hooking up with 4-6 friends and renting a place together? NOTHING. Stop ruining the world for the rest of us because you can't handle your own shit.

People can and do share rooms, in fact...my long term plan for my renal units IS to rent by the room rather than the apartment.

That being said, I don't think it's normal for a couple making 150k/yr to have to take on a roomates in order to keep their housing costs within 35% of their take home pay. That's exactly what's happening in major cities. In your 30-40's you should be able to afford a two bedroom home and children without subletting.

Reality is that the government creates money, that is used to make luxury housing, that dries up prices for everybody. They need to stop creating money at the taxpayers expense!

Yea, plus you can still build a home in China or brazil out of whatever you can find....

Turning into a third world country where you need to have three generations living in the same household.

How is this plan going to work if Millennials don't have children?

"this is fine" meme goes here

Africa is calling you home, niggers. Please go.

No the NPC's are being loaded with ai capabilities. They're just regurgitating words crawlers found on the internet.

In all truth, americans see their homes as investments. Over time the little extra buyers add to win the bid adds up. This will continue happening as long as people (and corporations) see their homes as investments and the delusion is fed by government programs/banks.

I looked up the sales records for the home I bought recently. We are the third owners. Adjusted for inflation, the first paid a fair price, the second buyer paid $75k more than the original owner, we paid $400k more than the second owner (property in much worse condition). You might think we overpaid, but no! The bank appraised the home, in current condition, at being worth 80k more than we agreed to pay!

I think millenials and zoomer's are in for a big shock. Eventually boomers will leave us, we will have a lot of housing and a tiny next generation to live in those homes.

I wouldn't put it past the gov to destroy homes 20-30 years from now.

Open borders. 50 million hungry "refugees" need breakfast, lunch and dinner. Government doesn't make money, government takes money.

All your elections are fraudulent. No one votes to be replaced in their own country by foreigners from foreign lands with foreign cultures.

This is what a casus belli looks like.

This is how bloody revolutions, mass murder, and killing all the jews and their families happens.

what is the name of that jew song playing in the background? I used to know but cant seem to remember for the life of me

[–] 2 pts

And yet come ballot time they will vote exactly the same way as always. "C'mon Dee, you said you would fix this." Rinse and repeat for 3 generations.

[–] 2 pts

Sounds like they still blame “capitalism” so no…nothing has changed

[–] 0 pt

I know the jew at the end was.

The rest are too dumb to realize that they’re voting themselves into it. Or they’re not, but they’re happy when (((others))) do.

Hate to say it but I remember when shit was just as bad financially during the Carter era. Mortgage rates were 15% and up. I just knew I'd never own a home but things turned around and taxes went down and my wages went up. This fucking bitch with her two tone hair house nigger skin and mix raced features has nothing to worry about. This mongrel cunt and her six niglets will forever be within the safety net of the White man's burden and free ride her mongrel nigger ass to the bank in her leased landrover.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

No. They are being spun off on a million rabbit trails.

It's all about flooding people with so much information that they cannot possibly find the truth.

That's why we need the Holy Spirit. To escape the spider's web and flee babylon.

Judging from the coke nail on that first one, I can understand that she might have a habit that is interfering with her ability to save money.
