I agree. Monarchy is based... as long as you have a God fearing monarch. But being able to put a name and face to all the bad decisions, which makes it an easily identifiable target, means that bad decisions are less likely to take place or can be rectified with properly applied pressure.. As it is, we just have a rotating set of hand puppets that all do the same thing, from the Senate to the Oval Office. Those handpuppets can then blame the prior handpuppets for the bad decisions, then pass the buck for their own bad decisions onto the next handpuppet.
