Yup. When I moved to the Portland Vancouver border in 2011, it was very affordable and still...quirky but fun. Within 5 years it was CA 2.0, and it turned into the 3rd world shit hole it is now during Covid. And don't get me started on Colorado. I keep trying to talk my wife into moving somewhere east like Oklahoma, NW Arkansas, or Tennessee/Kentucky, but she won't do it.
