TBH, It's just like the name Frigidaire that was so well known in the early 20th century that many Americans used it as a generic term for any refrigerator.

Are there any lightbulb makers who still have manufacturing lines capable of producing incandescent bulbs at consumer-level scales? I think most manufacturers have already retired those lines and cannot easily set them back up to produce them again. This may have happened too late to bring incandescent bulbs of decent quality back to the market. We may only be able to get dubious quality bulbs from china or other shithole nations.
