She's not really a turncoat. She, and others like her, support the permanent war deep state MIC, whichever candidate supports that the most will have her backing. In this case, it's Kamalalama. These people HATE Trump with a passion because, basically, he would be bad for business. They hated his presidency, because there were no new wars, no escalations in conflict that would require the expenditure of vast amounts of expensive munitions (that would need to be replaced). War is a racket. And the likes of the Cheneys, Bushes, McCains, Bidens, Clintons, Obamas, etc are all in on the racket.
