He was also mentioned in a book I read as being involved in the planes going in and out of Mena, AR carrying drugs and bags of cash during that time.
Thats right - he was an important figure for the CIA op that funded the Contras that the Clintons oversaw as Governor in AR. It is supposedly what got Bill Clinton 'made' and started the whole 'Arkancide' that morphed into the 'Suicide by Clinton' memes. Whole bunch of fucked up deep state actors.
The reality of it was he wasn't particularly important. He was the fall guy, knew his role, and did it. He took the heat, kept his mouth shut, did his "time," (fine and suspended prison term) and showed up some years later as an "opposition" voice making big bank.
That's how the game works.
