All depends on your headspace and setting. This can't get reiterated enough. I assume you know what it's like to get stuck in a thought loop? Imagine that x50 and at 50x speed. Every conceivable tangent explored with insane detail. Hours even days go by... Then you realize you were just walking to the fridge to get a water. Then you contemplate whether or not you have already gotten the water. Or maybe you never even started to go get the water. Have I been going to get water from the fridge this whole time? Holyyyyy FUCK have you guys ever looked inside the fridge!!? What was I doing? Shit I gotta pee. I think... Oh shit I'm pissing rainbows and I'm thirsty...!

if one shows respect for LSD its a great time. Head space, dose and setting are really import for first time use. 100ug will give some of the distortions your friend was mentioning. The "breathing" is really common.
for me personally. the way the edges of clouds flicker like the flames of a candel and how they morph beautifully in the sky is the best visual.
sex is also amazing, my (then girlfriend) and I tripped and banged. somthing about the closeness made us realize we wanted to be together for the rest of our days. really beautiful drug, though I've never had bad or challenging trips on it.
