It would better be described as a fragmentation round. Not a hollow point. Nearly all 12g slugs are hollow points.

Personally I like Lee’s 7/8 oz slug mold, use old tire weights, load at max velocity, you get good shooting hundreds a day on range day… how much are those fancy ass things likely to get extra charges for you when you use them because the DA will argue you intended to cause death not just defend yourself?
