They realise that they're pushing liberals into the conservative camp by moving way too far left, so they're going to trot out a "liberal" posing as a conservative. The moronic liberals who were pushed to the point that they started considering themselves conservatives will then breathe a sigh of relief that they can vote for a "liberal" conservative. It's all a very transparent trap that these morons will walk right into. These nouveau-conservatives are easy to trick back into the progressive reservation. Leftists don't seem to be easy to bring to a conservative perspective, but for some reason many conservative political candidates seem to think that if they cow to the progressives (e.g. propose a Net Zero carbon policy) that leftists will somehow vote for them. They will never vote for them, they want them dead, literally.
