They can do this because they live with a common race with common cultural values and expectations that foster community trust. White people would immediately get called out for discrimination if they wanted to have a whites only living situation like that. Also the consultants you mention already have a family. You are only looking at husbands going the distance to get the money. Not singles. But you are correct, I wish people would stop thinking that being in debt is ok. You don't own something you're still making payments on.
