Go to Iceland as a white person: they are friendly but they will be slightly off/cold to you. Because you're a foreigner. Icelandic hospitality. As it should be.

Iceland is also pretty damned conformist. Almost fully 'vaxxed.' Something like 80%. Very little private ownership of handguns. (Most are rifles and/or shotguns for hunting.) They too plan to be fully 'carbon neutral' by mid-century. (It's easier for them because geothermal is huge there. I wonder why.)

There is very little violent crime in Iceland. I think property theft is the biggest thing to worry about but I'll have to ask.

I'm quite envious of the peace and cohesive atmosphere they must enjoy.. but do they have an notable inventions or significant scientific contributions? Or are they a bunch of tribal folk with average white intelligence?

They have a population of ~375k (half as much as Alaska), and they are one of the most sparsely populated and remote parts of Europe. So there's not many people to fill the role of scientist, and they don't have the network effect of other European centers that can attract great minds. Instead, their best usually go to foreign universities where they can play with the expensive toys.

But that said, they've got the most geothermal energy of any place in Europe, and they do a lot of deep sea fishing too. You need a lot of smart or at least average intelligence people to not have anything blow up or sink.

The Icelanders are at least half Irish. The original Viking settlers realized eventually that buttfucking would not produce descendants to look after them in their old age, so they headed south and stole a bunch of Irish women, which is why they are a nation of permanently drunk momma's boys.
