That is a very valid point.
Here is the point we continually fail to hammer home: the amount of pregnancies that would lead to events that would endanger the mother’s life is exceedingly, amazingly rare. And most of them would involve the eventual death of the baby anyway. Maybe in that instance abortion would be a better option even if you were super staunchly pro life, because that mother might have other children who would need her going forward. But we can’t compromise with these people because they never compromise. They continue to take and take and take. You give them an inch, they whine for a mile. If they were more reasonable, maybe we could meet them in the middle on those exceptionally rare instances. But we can’t. They took that away by never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever compromising themselves.
