About the only thing I disagree with here is zeroing the red dot sight. At short range it doesn't have to be zeroed very well. He could've had no idea about zeroing it, threw it on and used it and if he wasn't going for 50+yard shots it wouldn't have made much difference. Edit: Oh, and looks like the manufacturer includes that vertical grip, and it's likely shipped already mounted.
