They'll tell you that it was a different era and such barbarism is forever behind us. Mistakes were made and we learned. They'll tell you this while injecting half the world with an experimental drug that's worse than the disease it's supposed to prevent.

While ripping off the dicks of the other half in the name of progressivism.

In her early young adult years, Rosemary Kennedy experienced seizures and violent mood swings. In response to these issues, her father arranged a prefrontal lobotomy for her in 1941 when she was 23 years of age; the procedure left her permanently incapacitated and rendered her unable to speak intelligibly.

A different era lol

These people are are in control now.

I would prefer just the lobotomy diagram with the phrase, "settled science."

The real reason was her compulsive masturbation. Not joking.

This!

What's old will be new again.

They found new ways to lobotimize minds

I sure am glad they stopped administering a procedure that turns people into docile, robonic, non-humans! /s

Clearly they replaced lobotomies with establishment traditional and social media.

I think television took care of that long ago.

I'd rather have a bottle in my butt, than have a frontal lobotomy

This can be arranged 😂😂

I meant 'a bottle in front of me'...Freudian slip?

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

We used to call this "common sense."

Well it worked just as intended, back then some people thought the result was desirable in some given circumstances

Of course the circumstances may vary... But the result is always the same! It does work...

HOL' UP YA'LL, before we go throwing the lobos in the trash may I propose that it is a fine procedure to violent and sexual criminals?

You make a good point but i have a cheaper solution, it involves pulling a trigger

>Egas Moniz introduced lobotomy, a surgical operation involving an incision into the prefrontal lobe to mitigate severe symptoms of serious mental illnesses. The operation was widespread during the 1940s and 1950s, but it became apparent that it could lead to serious personality changes. ****The use of lobotomies declined drastically when medications for mental illness were developed during the 1950s.

Honestly, looking at the world and history I bet it actually works when done correctly but one and done doesnt make as much money as taking drugs for life.

Slicing up a brain is never going to work as intended.

If it never worked would he have won the nobel prize? This was back when that actually meant something.

Besides of all the odd medical procedures throughout history "lobotomize" remains in the cultural lexicon by the media which is always suspicious.
