Used to be, rights were understood to originate from your creator, inalienable and God given. I don't think He would approve of this one.
The perversion of the term "rights" as originating from government is a bad bad precedent. I have rights in spite of, not because of. Government cannot be placed in this position of human dominance, equal or superior to our creator.
