When I was a kid and recognized the political bullshit plaguing our country, I often would tell my father "We should have a revolution. We should violently arrest these people breaking the law!" I was speaking about the politicians and so forth. Every time he would tell me "No! You don't understand the rule of law and how the government is supposed to work! We should follow the rules and when it comes time to vote, that's when we make change. The nature of the American government is that change is slow."
Dad, you were wrong. We followed your plan, and look where it's gotten us.
And when you really think about it, the nature of the true American government is anything but slow. The country was founded on the idea of revolution. And now we know (in fact and figures and real data) that violence does work.
It's about time to take measure which actually work.
