They were married to the father of their child/ children. Most have the father still in the children's lives. I don't think those guys are " bad boys".

Being a widow isn't that rare, I am one, I know 2 others.
"Single mother" is a term I've rarely heard used for divorcees. Parents who are divorced and have the other parent in the life aren't single parents. They're separated, co-parents, whatever. I wouldn't call a widow a "single mother," either.
Me either. I think of single moms as man haters who never even tried.
