I struggle to believe that the stats are consistent across races. I'm not saying they're worse for single moms than they are for the nuclear family, but when 50% of blacks are committing crimes, and 90% of blacks come from single family homes, that has to throw the numbers off.

Fathers are important - always have been, and will be. I was a single father myself, raised my daughter from the age of 12 until she graduated from college. It wasn't always easy and I made some sacrifices, but now she's married, with one kid and doing fine.

Yeah, that statistic can't possibly be right. Especially given the stats for other at "lesser" forms of dirtbaggey. I saw another website quote that number after pointing out that 70% of kids in juvie has no father. I'm going to guess that it is probably 93% and they transposed the number.
Perhaps it would be more useful to track how many grew up in biological, nuclear families. For instance, I know foster kids have high rates of crime, and I don't know where they'd be counted here. Black children are often raised by their grandparents and others. At this point, perhaps black great-grandparents are old enough to have come from a time when most people were married. There have been points in time where the black marriage rate was equal to (and I think even greater than) whites. The sharp divergence started around the same time as everything else went to shit, which is to say the 60s.

Meaning, fathers are NOT intended to be stay at home dads. It goes against basic biological programming.
It was intended for fathers to go out and "hunt" to provide for his family and the mother to stay back at the "tribe" to take care of the kids.
Women were not intended to join the workplace to "hunt" with men.
Sorry, that's just the facts. Yes, some women can. But most of the women I have worked with or employed over the years just cannot seem to stay focused on their job, avoid drama, or come into work when scheduled.
