Pretty much like if everyone stopped to pay taxes overnight, the whole beast would surely be brought to a sudden halt, but that's unlikely to happen, to say the least Now you could say "yeah but you aren't forced to vote, while you're forced to pay taxes". Thing is, even if half of registered voters stopped to vote, which is already huge, the election result would still remain valid because of the other half. As a matter of fact I don't think there's a minimum required, correct me if I'm wrong
