Now, we have the tech and understanding that anything like you describe is just poor business practices. Most corporate farming is done like I said because it is not sustainable the other way. They quickly deplete their land like a dried up oil well. I agree if only for the health benefits working the land provides (but crop rotation, watering, and fertilizing should be important even for small time flower-bed farming - it's cheap so there's no excuse to do this). More people need to work smarter and less. The US has a workaholic problem. So does Japan and Germany. We need to work less. We need to work smarter.
