The Dancing Israelies are real. That story and similar stories have been told about seven or eight different ways over the years. None of them match each other. There were guys dancing in a parking lot, and I do believe they had a van, and they did seem to be celebrating the attack. Some of them are actually interviewed and I know there are clips floating around. So these guys did exist but the rest of the details around it keep shifting and changing. For example, this is the first time I heard that they had a mural of the attack on the side of the van. That’s just fucking preposterous, it actually boggles my mind that anyone could think that’s real, but whatever. If we can get any consistencies in the story it would help. It’s a tough one. That’s what happens when you have a “truth” movement full of people who lie constantly and make things up for attention, it’s hard to nail down what the actual truth is. When most of the community is filled with paranoid schizophrenics, this is the type of shit you end up with. Meanwhile, a story with enough confirmed elements to actually be rather interesting and deeply troubling to any sane person, and could be used to help show people what’s really going on, now looks like the paranoid ramblings of lunatics because those are the people who have taken over the story, distorted it, changed it 1 million times, until it’s unrecognizable from what the actual truth is.
