My old boss, Albert Quesnel, was in the USAF back when Khaddaffi kicked USA out of Libya. We had an Air Force base there. Unlike Afghanistan, we shredded that base. Tore up the air strip, put concrete into all the toilets, smashed all the fixtures and equipment and left with anything of value. The place was a wasteland when we left.
