Their overconfidence comes from knowing what they have been able to get away with so far without facing retribution. All their rationalisations in terms of everyone else being animalistic automatons have been vindicated by them getting away with such repulsive & malicious actions. They saw how affective chutzpah & appeals to emotion was in getting millions of people to believe the most ridiculous & baseless lies/ slander, and has anything happened since then to jolt them into thinking otherwise?
