They don’t give a fuck about anyone else. My parents are these people. They don’t care about legacy or the state of the world, as long as their social security is there and the retirement pension money flows. It’s all cruises, golf, bitching about the government and alcohol until they die. Zero growth mindset. I love them as people, but loathe their lifestyle and their lack of desire to fix what they helped bring to fruition. Comfort and security over what is right.
