Any politician that's like a diaper, shouldn't be in office in the first place. There are a few rare politicians I would be happy to have in office forever. Ultimately, the problem is the general population is a bunch of uninformed, misinformed morons full of emotional manipulations that have been built up in them for their entire lives.

THAT is awesome. I never saw it before!

It cannot be explained more succinctly 🤣

Especially when the people in charge wrote election laws to keep themselves in power and rule against ( legally punish) anyone who threatens to upend the status quo

Most important term limits should be on senate because 6 years is very long for a single term. Let those who come up with laws live under the laws and not have government funded special pensions or medical services lasting for life, then they should become more sympathetic to citizens when they try to work investing their own 401k or buy medical insurance.

At the federal level I'd like to see no more than two terms served in the Senate, regardless of whether they are served consecutively, and no more than six terms in the House, with that same caveat. Twelve years is more than enough time.

I don't know enough about the nuances of politics to know if this is best or not, but it seems to make sense- at least for now anyway. The commie states like California and Illinois have "governor for life" leaders bought and paid for. Term limits might be the answer to these lizard people.

Incumbents win 93% of the time, on average. On its face, I'd say that's not fair especially considering how much they are disliked.

California has term limits at a state level. The result is that elected officials are planning their exit from office rather than focusing on good governance. Those few who do want to improve things face the problem that it is easier and quicker to destroy than to build.

Why is there term limits on the POTUS? Because the USA does not Want a 'ruler' or King. The 40 and 50 year terms of some in Congress is worse, because they Hide their corruption behind 20 subject Bills that NO ONE reads before it is Law.
