Once, the world was painted bright Each hue a flame, each shade alight The skies wore blues, the grass wore green In every corner, life was seen

But slowly, softly, color drained Like summer’s warmth before it rained The vibrant reds began to fade And joy, once bright, in shadows laid

The sun that shone with golden fire Grew distant, cold—its spark grew tired The earth, once rich, in vibrant blooms Now whispered through the hollow rooms

Each step I take, the gray persists A fog of doubt, a tightening fist The flowers droop, the trees stand still As if the world has lost its will

The sky turns pale, the sea a blur No sun to set, no stars to stir What once was bright, now fades to gray And colors vanish, slip away

I seek the hues I used to know The reds, the blues, the golden glow But find only a silent space Where shadows linger, leave no trace

For when the heart is faint and torn The world outside feels cracked, forlorn As colors drain, the soul, too, falls Caught in the silence of its walls

So here I stand, in fading light My life in growing blight The world has drained, and so have I A canvas pale beneath the sky
