I will go out on a limb and guess an AR-15, and night vision scope are not viable solutions where you live. Is poisoning said Coyotes within the realm of your abilities?
i thought coyotes only went for live animals so i don't see how poisoning is an opyion.
there was a period there when i was taking late night walks around the neighborhood with handgun in pocket, looking for the bastards. it's been several months & i've calmed down
I have seen vids where an airgun hunter used KFC to bait the coyote into his killzone. The airgun used was an Airforce Condor .22 shrouded so it is almost completely silent.

Here we’ve got coyotes, foxes, and lions that will take out kitties. Average lifespan of an outdoor cat, according to my vet, is about 2 years max. I can’t even let my 100lb dog out by himself anymore. Damn nature, you scary.
