no words could purchase
nor tears could find
that mother lost
to a sea of time
her loss near stole
the breathe from my chest
a memory of a ghost
that would not rest.
But peace comes to wither on the vine
All we are is moments, happy moments in time.
Farewell, farewell, marry meet, and marry part
In this journey we all call life
Depart now with my heart, in Gods loving arms.
Wish! Pray! against the closing of the dark
Till doomsday finds us reunited
On some distant shore, or cool autumn park.
And god on that everlasting day, no longer
would separate us by sleep or the gift of breathe we returned
but we ourselves would return to him
With all the moments of what we'd learned.
The prodigal souls would, cold, pilgrim one last to that grey mount
And at the temple where the earth touched the sky
The paradise of god's love, where all the good we'd ever done, all we had become
would live forever, golden, in his light, and never die.
no words could purchase

that mother lost
