Inflation is a bitch. I took my father in law to a local spot the other weekend. Food tastes good but in the last three months, they halved the portions but kept the prices the same. Damn shame I won't be going back now.

Shake Shack only opens stores in high income areas. It's an expensive McDonalds for rich teens and their parents. Same quality but costs twice as much.

The standard bacon cheeseburger (2 patties) + fries and drink is just under $20 here at 5Guys. Even better, the local tavern (read as "dive bar" for the hipsters amongst you) makes a burger and fries for 10 bucks. Real burger, done on the grill in front of you with fresh LTOP. the fries are standard fair trash like everywhere.

Its much better, and its only about $12 when I make it at home.
