Aurochs are the perfect example of why Jared Diamond is full of shit. Aurochs were at least as vicious as any animal in Africa, but yet we tamed them. For that matter, wild yaks are basically bison genetically yet the Tibetans tamed them, and asian water buffalo is basically like a cape buffalo. Why didn't Africans tame any buffalo or feather indians tame bison? The difference is the people, not the animals.
