Last of the ham. Started the beans last night. Regular sized crockpot. 1lb.of Navy Beans. Some ham, carrots. Added most of the meat this morning. This is before a good stir. The beans are just at paste stage, so the base is a lot thicker after the stir.

Oh man, that looks good..

It is. Just finished my first bowl. Stuffed. Beans are just right, and this ham was super tasty. Started the beans with the broiler brine from roasting the ham. Solid flavor. Working on a Peroni- probably going to be in the La z boy before too long...

Had a job super once advise me to never do work in a Campbell's Soup Processing plant because if you do you'll never eat the product again.

I did the same thing but added frozen turkey from Thanksgiving with the beans the night before, New Year morning added Christmas ham bone, mushrooms, a mix of baby potato colors.

This crock is a bit too small to boil a whole ham bone - especially if the beans are already in. I just cleaned the meat off and tossed the bone in the chicken pen. At least some use out of it. Nothing like a meat bone to bring out the velociraptor in chickens.
