Why is there inconsistency in the way links are handled on Poal (Voat has a similar issue). It seems that when you are on any post page, you can left-click a link and it will open the link in a new tab. But when you are on the comment page, the same link is opened in the current tab... this is dumb.

For that matter, ALL links should open in a new tab, or NO links should open a new tab... just one way or the other. This really should be a user configurable option as some people have different opinions in this regard.

All links in the comments are opening in another tab unless they are linking to a poal.co subdomain.

That is incorrect... I just tried it from a "comment" page and it did not open a new tab. Go to the following page and click the post link.

That isn't, the link in the post you linked opens in a new tab/window.

Please make sure to check your browser's settings.

I use the latest version of Waterfox, unmodified by any addons or plugins... what settings would affect this?

... I just tried it with Pale Moon and it still does not open a new tab.

Firefox/Waterfox are now opening links in external window or tab (depending on your their settings).
