This old dog isn't going to learn the current state of the art relational db nomenclature, methodology and technique overnight ... that's for you younger fellas to master. I left the rat race 20 years ago, so now I can simply sit with other "users" and bitch about everything! Lol! That is particularly funny to me, I was on the other side of that coin all of my career. Feels strange being on the "user" side ... yet I will still try my best to diagnose, debug and propose remedies when I encounter issues/obstacles.

Another issue. The advanced search does not appear to allow me to search comments.

I want to search for a keyword/phrase in a comment I made recently on someone elses post that ties into a new post today. IDK who the OP was.

I don't see an option to search comments in the drop down menu?

Did I miss something?

"Advanced Post Search"

That's a fucking tease. Purposefully omitting the comment search. I had expected comments on posts to be as searchable.

If you are concerned about users doing focused searches within the comments of a specific user ... this alternate approach could be useful...

Any possibility of inserting a copy of the Basic Post and Comment search within a users own page (ie /u/Lurker17) available to only that user with searches that are hard coded to search only that users own posts and that users own comments on posts or comments by others? Just so a user can more quickly/easily find their own stuff?

I'd find it handy and some others may too. It's a real drag to want to reference an old comment or post I made, guess at the search word, filter through dozens of matches from all users, try another keyword, repeat ... repeat ... and still come up empty. That is what started my journey this afternoon. Then I went to try the Advanced search in my quest, you know the rest.
