Y'all got the order right. But...

Let's say you've inserted the URL and (not important) told it to fetch the title. Now, you add text to it - or you type a title of your own.

Everything is fine at this point, right? Sure it is...

Now, you press the enter button on your keyboard.

What this should do is submit the new post. What it does do is it fetches the title again. I have replicated this and this is not the expected behavior. Pressing enter, especially at that text entry field, should submit the post.

You know, like a normal website? No, not Poal... Poal fetches the damned title again. This also messes up your edits that you've applied to the title. If you have, for example, put a handy remark in parentheses, you now have to do that again.

Some of us don't use a mouse to do everything. We have keyboards.

Fix your shit, Poal! You're a mess!

(Really, it's a minor thing that is probably a quick fix but low on the list of priorities. Still, I'll make you aware of it. Someone's gotta spot and mention the bugs, and I wasn't doing anything better!)

Fixed in the local VM, we'll push it soon.

Awesome and thanks!

It's not a huge thing, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention. I kind of like bug hunting and this one is very much different than what is the expected behavior.

Much thanks for the rapid and attentive fix!

I've noticed the keypress is also triggered by the browser. I need to add some code to disable it and use jquery instead.

Works the same way on Phuks.

Yeah, it's fixed now. It's fixed on the testing server and they'll push it to production when they get time.

It's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance. Whenever the UI behaves unexpectedly, that's a bug. Pushing the enter button, especially in that field, should submit the post - and not re-fetch the title. If it has to be broken, it should be broken to not do anything. Fetching the title a second time is pretty much the worst thing it can possibly do (except maybe blank all the form entry content).

So, it's a minor bug - but they're fixing it. I imagine it won't be too long before it's pushed to production. They're really good admins and are very attentive. I appreciate that and hope their zeal sticks around. I've seen many admins lose motivation after a while.

By the way, I used to have a girlfriend with your username - that was her real name. She was one of my favorite girlfriends and she was batshit crazy. It was awesome. Callie Jo <last name here>. She was wonderful and a great person to hang out with, inspiring and interesting.

I'd tell you all about her (she was awesome) except I've already been rather wordy today.
