I add every page that I want to check periodically to my feed reader, saves a lot of time and makes easier to get relevant notifications only. Nothing to do with mobile.
I have a script to convert pages to feeds, so it is okay if a site does not have native feeds, but if a site does, I prefer to use it than to convert (saves processing power for me).
