"Since Pic8.co (a fantastic image proxy solution to keep your images online) has been around with poal for almost 2 years (in the side bar), we've decided with the benediction of its creator, @picman, to integrate it in the submit link page.

So now when you paste an image link into the link post field it will automatically upload it to pic8's multiple hosts and your image will be preserved forever! However should you not want to use pic8.co then there is a checkbox to disable this function.

There's also a new upload image button for images you want to upload from your devices. They will also be uploaded through pic8 service.

Please note that pic8 protects your privacy by stripping off all metadata from the pics you will upload.

And thanks for that pic8 API syntax you shared with me before!

The embed pic8 in the side bar was already a great add-on and has been used a lot by poalrs, especially on mobile.

That new feature makes it even easier to post images.
