It’s been down for about 2 months because Jootube decided to IP ban invidious based instances.

We are working on an alternative, but can’t say when we’ll be done. We have a life outside poal.

Why would they ban Invidious based instances?

Because the instances are acting like proxies and prevent users from being tracked. Also, no ads and login required to watch flagged videos (nsfw...)

Wow, that is nasty of YouTube.

Maybe there is some teporary workaround (e.g. direct embedding).

I hope Poal will soon be big, bigger than Voat.co today.
