That’s how throat was designed, but it’s not really registering (logs) when it’s OP deleting their own posts/comments.
I need to trigger an alert box (for confirmation) when that happens.

So it's similar to what happens in the (required) link field when you switch from a link to a text post and submit the post? I'm still not totally convinced you don't read those. I've been sending you messages.

No, I mean when you create a new link post, but before submitting you hit the "switch to text post button".
What happens when you do that is the text post won't go through unless you have filled in the url field on the previous page. You can write whatever as long as it begins with https:// I think. So when I do that I usually write https://<some message for AOU> in the url field and then switch back to text post and submit.
