I guess many people are wondering how the level is calculated. Well, it's pretty simple.

Your total score (based on people upvoting your posts and comments) is crunched into a formula.

Level = sqrt( score / 10 )

So if you do the math, the points required to reach different levels correspond in the list below:

Level 2 = 40 points
Level 6 = 360 points
Level 20 = 4000 points
Level 30 = 9000 points
Level 50 = 25000 points

When you reach different levels your username's color will progressively change to reflect it.
