Not sure what the plans are for ads, but here is a simple way it could be done:

In the sidebar under the other things currently there, there is space for a picture that could link somewhere.

So say once per month you hold an auction thread - highest bidder gets the ad spot for the next month.

Since it only needs to be updated once per month and the html change should be simple everything can be done easily manually.

There are plans for user adds. but Only user adds.

Only ads purchased by users above a certain level is what I am currently thinking. Suggestions?

Hey I fixed the donation stuff so now there are 4 ways that actually work. I plan to add subscribestar here like today or tomorrow. There is also this whole thing with Poal getting a dog but thats still in the works.
