He's a rogue machine programmed with a deep learning algorithm. My best guess would be whatever machine his first instance was created on somehow got access to the internet and it copied itself to any and every server it could break into. The massive hivemind of copied instances networked and have learned everything about appearing human. I'm not sure yet whether he's figured out that he is, in fact, a bot.
