Ok I've been exploring this site "pokernow.club" that we've used successfully for two games. The gamplay user interface is well thought out, we can make our own blind structure, we can create a table on the fly (ad hoc) and I'm pleased with the options and that we can have a place to play poker together.

There is another feature of pokernow.club which is a poker club. This is a paid for membership that I would purchase on behalf of Poal ($70/year) that brings more features. Members of the club do not need to pay for membership, just the club owner. Members do, however, need to submit an email address to pokernow.club in order to be able to join a club. The email address will only be known to pokernow.club, not to the club owner (me).

The primary feature of a club vs ad hoc games is that everyone's wins & losses would be tracked from one game to the next. So if I make this purchase, it means you would be able to join the club. I would give all new club members some amount, like 100,000. That's your bankroll, everyone gets the same starting amount to start "season 1". When you sit down at a table you give yourself some amount of chips from this bankroll. When you stand up from the table, your chipstack goes back into the bankroll. So over time, say 4 months or 12 months or whatever, we can see who ends up on top and we can award the winner(s) with bragging rights for that season. Then we can reset the bankrolls back to 100,000 and play another season.

The club option provides additional features for gameplay. For example allowing rabbit hunting, allowing "run it twice", a 7/2 option, straddles, prescheduling tables & tournaments, all kinds of stuff.

I think the club option is absolutely worth considering, only if people (you) are ok to give them your email address. Right now with ad-hoc games, no email is necessary at all. That's one of the reasons I was interested in this site in the first place, that no registration was required.

So we can keep playing ad hoc games and I'm perfectly ok with that. But we can also consider this other option, if you all are open to it. What do you think?

Couldn't y'all just use something like tabletop simulator?

Probably. What is tabletop simulator?

Check it on steam. Will explain it better than I can. My son uses it with his friends extensively

Ok but now it's complicated because I don't know what steam is either :)
