The longducks around here (Canuck Geese) have also been holding meetings, probably to decide whether they're going to fly south or overwinter. There'd be a group of 30-40 of the fat bastards in the pond, all facing the front, where a line of roughly 10 of them on the pond shore are facing back to the flock of geese.
